Getting closer...

Okay...good intentions and all...do you like my new header? It's still a work in progress, but I figured I'd post it and continue working on it as I get time. Haven't updated my fonts files, yet, either...but that's on the list.

Haven't even tried to work a New Year's Resolutions list...although I think I'm leaning more towards a goals for 2010 project and catching up (already!) on a 365 pictures project (barely started this one last year, but didn't keep up with the postings...) Hmmm...I suspect my 2010 will be a year of changes, small and large.

I know it's already January...most of us have the Christmas trees and decorations put away and Valentine's crafts are everywhere...but I wanted to share a couple of holiday photos...crafty, of course! As usual I was running behind, but I finally got the girls at work a little something...homemade Eggnog Pound Cake and gift certificates...the tiny kind that go on your keyring and fit just perfectly into Stampin' Up!'s Sizzix Pillow Box!

And what would a Christmas project be without a little glitter?! So, the small circle punched snowflake is covered in sparkles! (Everyone should have a little sparkle in their day, don't you think?!)

I don't have all the specs at my fingertips, may get them up here eventually, but shoot me an email, if you need to know! I found the mini loaf box template searching with Google, but had to change it up a bit as the pans I was using wasn't a standard size. I used one piece of 8.5x11 Kraft Cardstock for each box. The top edges were scalloped and inked up. (Jesse wanted to help me with my project, so I handed him the scallop edge punch...he did a great job!)

The Paper was pretty plain, so I pulled out Serene Snowflakes and embossed white flakes all over an entire sheet of 12x12 (one of last year's game papers...), cut the paper to size and inked up the edges.

Well, that's it for now. I've got to finish getting ready for the day job. Hope you get some time to make some crafty mayhem today!

Almost there...

Okay...so I meant to get on here and get this blog updated this weekend, but instead I enjoyed some down time with the family. I did, however, get some new photos and projects completed, the kids finished their thank you cards (photos soon!) and we're counting down till the routines are back in place!

Looking Forward to the New Year!

Hi, All!
I'm sure if you've come by the blog lately, you've been a bit surprised by the 'mess!' Well, life happens while you're making plans! I've gotten a (mostly) day job and have had some nasty computer problems, hence the lack of photos. Having to change up my blogs while trying to prep for the holidays, learn the new job and still do all the normal stuff has really taken over my life.

Haven't had time to blog or post here much (obviously!), but you can keep up with me by checking back here to see my Twitter (posts on the left) or if you're really dedicated you can subscribe to my Twitter posts by clicking on the link (under my Twitter posts on the left of the blog) that says "follow me on Twitter" and then just follow the prompts! I'll be sure to let you know when I start posting projects again!

I sure have missed visiting everyone's blogs and posting projects. Hoping the new year will bring some peace and order back into my crazy life!

The Little Things

I've been working on projects here and there, but haven't had the time to actually get the photos, then get them edited or uploaded here. In the last few weeks, I've made cards, bookmarks, boxes and altered clipboards. I joined a local card swap group of fantastic ladies. This was the card I made for my first swap. (Christmas cards are next!) I love seeing the different styles and having cards on hand when I need them.

This card was pretty simple...punched edge, pierced corner, scored lines...the most time consuming part was cutting out the 10 flower heads.

The sentiment is from a retired SU! set. It says:

It's the little things that make life Big.

Isn't that the truth?

I see that {again} that it's been awhile since I've posted any projects...well...I did have an excuse, right? Moving to a new continent, buying my first home, sending the oldest off to college...

Well, the family is getting settled in and life is moving on! Got a few projects to share later this week. The Studio (love the way that sounds!) is coming together nicely, too!

I miss all of you crafty people! I have a lot of blurfing to do and can't wait to catch up with you on your blog!
