Say hello to my new BFF...Murphy.
UGH.
I've been dealing with computer issues since November. Yes, as in 2009. Every time I think it's fixed, something else happens. New drives, formats, new OS...doesn't matter. There is something inherently wrong with my wired friend (I suppose that could apply to several of you! lol)
It's frustrating to be so connected with friends, family and your craft through the technology that isn't working!
Don't have time to post any pictures, stories, thoughts, crafts...anything I'd really like to say except...
I am still here.
Hugs,
Angi

About Time...Take 2!
{ETA: Tried to use an old post as a template to speed things up...yeah...well, 1 1/2 hours later...it didn't work the way I thought it would, so I had to reload and edit 2 posts tonight! So, if you are getting this one twice, please accept my apologies...and thanks for your patience!)

Prime Time - {heart} this clock!
Outside my window...snow...just when I was thinking of soft green grass and reading in the backyard...the fluffy white stuff had to return. Not just a few flakes, but inches of the stuff!
I am thinking...I should be counting my blessings and not whining about the white stuff...umm...the kids have boots...and my studio is the warmest room in the house (in the summer, too!)...and I'm currently in possession of the one and only ice scraper...mwahahaha!
I am thankful for...see above...there are many other things I'm thankful for, too. I'm always thankful for hot chocolate with whipped cream, the chocolates stashed in my desk, and that today I remembered the clock I bought and stored in the closet months ago...
I am wearing...jeans (practically a given every day of fall & winter), purple lacy tank, all topped off with my CSU hoodie
I am remembering…a warm summer day, laying hidden on a blanket in the tall grass beside my mother. She was catching some rays and reading a book. Although, she didn't read to us much while we were young, (English was not her first language) she often read while we played around her.
From the kitchen...leftover Superbowl chili, fries (as in NOT baked!) and lots of cheese! Not really in a healthy food kind of mood...can you tell?
I am creating...yes siree! So many things to create, so little time!
(This is a peek of a card I had made. Details in another post.)
One of my favorite things…a hand massage...you don't realize how much tension is in your hands, until you let someone else work it out.
I am going...to feel a little more in control of my life when I'm able to finish getting my planner together. I'm such a list person...
I am reading...and participating in A Year in the Life of an Art Journal. Can't say that I actually consider myself artsy...I do find that this kind of creative expression can be extremely freeing. Not to mention messy...translation: creative fun!
I am hoping...to be able to live my life outloud sooner rather than later. Feeling extremely a bit stifled. Trying to work out frustrations within my creative sphere.
Around the house...clock hung in the studio (love it!), my computer is almost back together, studio has a floor (well, I can see it now! lol), making a list of future projects.
* Snow...okay, as much as I complained earlier, I really do adore the loveliness of slowly falling, fluffy flakes of crystalline goodness! Brings back memories of snowball fights, sledding, quads, good food, friends and family times.
* Catching up with friends.
* Superbowl food...yes, it really is about the food, well the food while you're watching the commercials! lol
A few plans for the rest of the week:
• bake sugar cookies
• start reading a book for pleasure
• post last month's swaps and finish this month's swaps
hugs,
Angi

To be continued...
Isn't life supposed to slow down as you get older?
Certainly not finding this to be true! Working on a Simple Woman post, but I have a few appointments this morning to get to first then work. Sometime this evening I'll get it posted with a few pictures.
Talk to you soon!
hugs,
Angi

Monkey Love
{ETA: Having issues with posting...I'm sure it's user error! lol}
(For those of you stopping by to see projects, check back in a couple of days. I have a few cards to post! While you're waiting keep reading to learn a little more about me...)
FOR TODAY25 26 27 January 2010...(I know I'm a little behind...been trying to upload this post since Sunday evening. Finally get things working and had every intention of getting this post up last night, but best laid plans...right? That seems to be the theme for this month...well, here we go!)
Outside my window...life-giving warmth of the sun, bright blue skies dusted with shredded clouds and bunnies…(NO the bunnies weren't shredded! They were hopping across the yard.)
I am thinking...that I’m going thru a “depletion cycle”…as fast as I can run.
I am thankful for...quiet moments, routines, daily living, 400 calorie cups of hot chocolate topped with swirled whipped cream (very satisfying when you need a pick me up...of course, too many of those and no one's going to be picking me up! haha)
I am remembering…just how much I miss my mother…and thinking about my cousin, who recently lost her father. (Love and hugs to you, sweetie!)
From the kitchen...looking forward to fresh veggies, bread and soups with cream and fruit for dessert. (really going through a whipped cream phase...)
I am creating...that’s it! I AM CREATING. And loving what precious little time I have to make stuff…cards, lately, but scheduling (yes, scheduling!) time to work on scrapbook projects and creating plans for being able to do and share what I love even more!
One of my favorite things…post-it notes…they come in all shapes, sizes, designs and colors. They are portable and can go anywhere…in my desk, in a drawer in the bathroom, in my purse, in my car...hmm…and your uses, dear one, let me count the ways…reminders, lists, notes, letters, doodles and of course crafting! love, love, love!
I am going...way outside my comfort zone this week and taking a mini vacation (soooo needed!) Just wish it was to somewhere warm and sunny...would tropical be asking too much? lol
I am reading...books, blogs and articles that uplift, encourage and emphasize living each day with purpose...and crafting...okay, not really living and crafting, but I do read about purposeful crafting...does that count?
I am hoping...to be able to quickly follow through with meaningful changes I've begun in my life. Patience is a virtue I do not naturally possess...it is painstakingly earned...
Around the house...I’ve begun to unload those things that are no longer needed and no longer loved. Even though I’ve really just begun the process of decluttering the material things in my life, I can already feel a lifting of my spirit!
Some Good Things from this past week...
* Card swaps…working on getting the pictures uploaded!
* E.’s birthday party…lots of hugs, smiles and balloons!
* jounaling time
A few plans for the rest of the week:
• Start this year’s school pages for the kids’ albums…
• Actually write down my goals for this year…need to work on better defining them, too.
(Thank Goodness this will always be a work in progress, subject to constant revision!)
• Workout 3 more times this week
What have you been up to lately?
hugs,
Angi

Loveliness...
So, if you are even remotely into handmade...regardless if your thing is cards, scrapbooks, altered art, beading...whatever...I'm sure you've heard mention of Lisa Leonard. She designs sterling silver jewelry (say that 3 times fast!) of the sighing kind. Charms that are personal, close to the heart.
Sometimes literally.
This is loveliness (click HERE to see what's on my heart today.)
Going on my wishlist. 4 names, 4 hearts...all mine.
What's on your heart today?
hugs,
Angi
