Sentimental Sundays #159 - Sprays & Mists Sponsored by Mayzy Arts

I'm beginning to feel a bit like the white rabbit!

"I'm late for a very important date!"

Our cross country move has wrecked havoc with my creative schedule! Not only have I had to put away all but the basic of art supplies, but then the lack of internet prevented me from sharing what I did make.

Sigh.
Rant over.

This card was created for the Sentimental Sundays Sprays and Mists Challenge sponsored by the whimsical Mayzy Arts!

Is this not the cutest steampunk image? She's not for the hardcore, but she's a darling! And I love her. Steampunk Meri is great to color. You can art her up or dress her down. Your choice.

Copics Used:
Hair: E23, E81, E89
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R89
Eyes: YG03, BV34, V20
Clothes: E23, E37, E81, E84, R21, R85, V09, RV09
Guns: E84, N2, YG03

Sprays and mists. Some of my most favorite art supplies evah. Buy them. Make them. Use them. One of these days I will schedule time to show how to make this type of background. The shimmer patterns remind me of marbling. Gorgeous faux texture, color mixes & glimmer!

My youngest daughter helped me make background papers while we took a break from packing boxes. She made over 15 sheets for me to use in about 20 minutes! She did a great job, right?

I better get back to catching up on emails...

Inky hugs,
Angi

Sentimental Sundays #158 - Metal sponsored by Rick St. Dennis

In the middle of 'move mode', so this will be a quick post...albeit scheduled late.
Thankfully, this won't be the norm in a couple of weeks!

What a sweet challenge! My embellishment stash contains a lot of metal...tags, brads, tape, mesh, lots of found items...ask me...I probably have it! You can dress it up shiny and clean or make it dirty, grungy or vintage.

Since I'm working with a limited supply, I don't have a lot to work with, but lo and behold I had kept a small box (I had really thought I'd donate it, but I NEEDED it! LOL)

Rick St. Dennis has a unique flavor...some of his images are not for the faint of heart; his images have such wonderful character and they're great images to color!

I love this image...the wings, the teddy bear...so darn cute! Colored up with Copics. Inked up with a Palette pad (more almost donated items...*grin*)

You can find the image here:
An Old Man's Dream

Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E42, E84
Clothes: R59, R89, YR30
Bedding: BG72, YR31, G43, N4, C1
Bear: N2, N4
Bed: E23, E37

I didn't have any sentiments (with me) that I wanted, so I typed up my own. Here are some more fun sentiments for this image...

Work Hard.
Play Hard.
Take a Nap.

Know what it takes to have a quiet, relaxing Father's Day?...a different family. (I really loved this one!)

Okay, I said short, but I guess I'm just missing you peeps and all my artsy stuff...so show us your metal. I need an artsy fix!

Inky hugs,
Angi

Sentimental Sundays #157 - Summer Color Inspiration sponsored by Saturated Canary

Welcome to Sentimental Sundays' newest challenge...on Monday. Yep.
(The challenge was up on time; it's just me & my card that's late!)

I am loving the warmer weather and the sunshine and wouldn't you know it - this challenge is sponsored by:

Saturated Canary

and the theme is SUMMER COLOR INSPIRATION.

Love the muted colors. The sun has a lovely way of washing out color, doesn't it? And wouldn't you love to be sitting in this picture with a cool drink? Ahhh...

Here's my card, using Circus Trixie. Love her. I'm already working on some ideas on how to use her on another project...on the 'after move' list, of course! My colors aren't exactly the same tone, but I had to make do with what I had on hand...I'd say I did okay: bluegreens, orange, cream/yellow.

Copics used:
Hair: BG000, BG10, BG72, BV34
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
Eyes: YG63
Dress: YR31, Y17, R81, R85, RV55
Hoop: V17, V22, V25

Missing my embellishment stash, and would have used a few star brads, buttons, twine...something. I did use fun trim and glitter. This is definitely CAS for me, but I like this card.

This is part of a couple of sentiment stamps (stars and words are from different stamps.) I used a marker to ink up the words I wanted to use.

Love this mini pompom trim - too cute!

Okay...felt so nice to do a bit of coloring! I didn't want to stop...packing up the rest of the house this week. That means 2 weeks of no crafting! No inks, no papers, nada, zero, zip, zilch...you get the idea?

Think of me while you make stuff...can't wait to see what you create!

Inky hugs,
Angi
