I'm still here, just busy. Trying to figure out how to get it all done...you know, kids' agendas, my agenda, husband's, family, church...etc. Trying to make time for everything. Hopefully after another week or so, I will be back in the swing of things. Working on some updates and pictures to post. Finally finished Kyrsten's page! Designed it digitally, just for her. Will post after she reads the dedication.
All this busyness...how many times have I said, "...will get around to it..." and don't? Scrapbooking is one of those things. I take pictures, collect ideas, but rarely make the time to get those pages done. I want to get those stories down with the pictures, so my family, especially my kids, will be able to have something tangible to help them remember our years together.
There's something going on around here, that I want to be a part of and to share the opportunity with you. Many of us have lost loved ones in the past year and know how important pictures can be to help us remember a cherished moment with someone. Early in December, Christine Post passed away unexpectedly, leaving her husband and 4 young children behind.
Christine had a love of photography and scrapbooking and has thousands of photos to be scrapped. In a wonderful effort to remember Christine and her family, friends in the community have put together Project Christine's Keepsakes. January 17th, at the Ramstein Elementary School, 9 a.m. to Midnight is a kick off event to scrapbook those photos, so that her children will be able to have the legacy of memories that Christine had intended.
Even if you are not local, you can help! Christine's supplies will be used, but there is a need of adhesives, cardstock and photo printing. Even those of you stateside can participate - the photos can be sent to you digitally.
A blog has been started to share information and document the project's progress. Please stop by Project Christine's Keepsakes for more detailed information regarding January 17th's crop and contact information, if you wish to help with photo printing, supplies and layouts.
Time is of the essence! The family will only be here a few more months and the goal is to complete the scrapbooks before they return to the states. If a lot of people, give a little, Project Christine's Keepsakes, will be a memory her family cherishes, too!
